Ami Kawai (born December 15, 1967) is a Japanese actress best known in Japan for her roles as Marsha in Kidou Keiji Jiban and Lami in Kyry Sentai Zyuranger (the latter known as Scorpina in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

Scorpina was previously credited as “Ami Kawai” in the Power Rangers series in North America, but she was later credited to American voice actor Wendee Lee. Scorpina was so popular with the general people that when the filmmakers ran out of video of her, there was much conjecture about her destiny.

She was already well-known in Europe and Latin America prior to the popularity of the Power Rangers for her performance in Kidou Keiji Jiban, however her role there was shared with Akemi Furukawa, who portrayed a similar minor character.

Kawai’s image has changed dramatically in recent years. She does not have long black hair; rather, she has short, lightly tinted brown hair.

She is not at the forefront of the Japanese entertainment industry, preferring to devote her time to learning and teaching Japanese traditional dance, buyo. In late 2006, she was granted the name Aya Fujima in recognition of her accomplishments.
