Wyndham Clark is trending for obvious reasons after he booked a place in the ongoing Canadian Open Golf Championship. The event kicked started this morning at 10 am. with lots of seasoned golfers to battle it out for the whopping $8.7million dollars cash prize.

What happened to Wyndham Clark mother Lise Thevenet Clark?

Clark has really paid his dues to this point of the competition and he is one guy not to underestimate because he is coming in stronger this time around with his eyes fixed on the cash prize.

Nearly over half a decade ago his mother, Lise Thevenet Clark died of breast cancer at the age of 55 after battling the canker for years.

In spite of this heartbreaking news, Wyndham worked hard to honor his mother’s bravery by winning the Big 12 Player of the Year as a redshirt freshman. Golfweek ranked Clark ninth at the end of the 2013-14 season.
