Usha was the name of the daughter of notorious French serial killer Charles Sobraj. The Nepali police captured Charles, Usha Sobhraj’s father, in 2003. For killing an American citizen in 1975, for which he was given a life sentence. Her daughter too endured enormous suffering as a result of her father’s wrongdoings after Charles killed her in Nepal.

Who is Charles Sobhraj?

Usha Sobhraj was born in Mumbai, India, in the early 1970s. She will be between 50 and 55 years old in 2022. Usha and her mother Chantal Compagnon fled to Afghanistan in 1973 after Usha’s criminal father Charles Sobhraj broke out of the Delhi police prison. Usha was sent back to France to live with her maternal grandparents while Charles was detained on the Afghan-Iranian border and imprisoned in Kabul by the French embassy officials.

Charles was swiftly released from the Afghan Police’s custody after being apprehended by them by drugging a guard. Then, after arriving immediately in Paris, he killed his mother-in-law before robbing Usha of her childhood.

Usha’s mother, Chantal, was given complete custody of Usha after she was released from prison in Kabul, and she relocated to the US to keep her permanently away from her father.
