Travis Shoots Laura Carlton Over Pride Flag Conflict

According to reports, the incident occurred when deputies responded to an emergency call at the ‘Mag Pi’ shop in the 28000 block of Hook Creek Road at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, they found the store’s proprietor, Laura Carleton, aged 66, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Regrettably, paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The assailant, armed with a handgun, fled on foot, as stated by sheriff’s officials.

Shortly after that, deputies encountered Ikeguchi, the suspected shooter, near the intersection of Rouse Ranch Road and Torrey Road, which ultimately led to the suspect being fatally shot.

Thankfully, the deputies involved in the encounter were not injured. Sheriff’s officials did not provide information on whether a firearm was recovered at the scene or if Carleton’s shooting would be investigated as a potential hate crime.
