Imagine Twilight and The Magicians went to Hogwarts, only Hogwarts was a college and you’re in the right frame of mind for Netflix’s latest supernatural series The Order. A great series for teens and early adults (as well as anyone who enjoys supernatural series) The Order is coming back for a second season. If you haven’t seen the show yet, you might want to check it out. There are a lot of elements to this series that help set it apart from other shows in this genre, even if you feel some of the plots are tried and true.

Starring Jake Manley as lead character Jack Morton and Sarah Grey as his love interest Alyssa Drake the show focuses on college students who are battling supernatural forces while developing their own unique skills and talents.

Fans of Disney’s Descendants will notice two cast members in the series: Jedediah Goodacre as Kyle and Dylan Playfair as Clay and adult fans of True Blood will see Sam Trammell as Eric Clarke.

Netflix has found success with their original, supernatural programming and it appears that The Order and Sabrina the Teenage Witch are poised to become cult classics.

The Order was a bit of a surprise hit. It really didn’t get much promotion before it suddenly showed up on Netflix under the originals category. Still, word of mouth pushed this series to the top and once people watched it, they began sharing it on social media.

Within days of its release, people were stating they were binge-watching the series and encouraging others to check it out.

It seems the word-of-mouth recommendations worked because The Order is a hit, has already been renewed for a second season and fans are sounding off about their anticipation for Season 2.

Like many series, The Order ended on a cliffhanger and there are loose ends that need to be tied.
