Shuhada Sadaqat born Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor on 8 December 1966, is an Irish singer-songwriter. Her debut album, The Lion and the Cobra was released in 1987 and charted internationally.

Her single “Nothing Compares 2 U” was released in 1990 and named the number one world single for the same year by the Billboard Music Awards.

In a tribute to her son after his demise, the singer wished for him to be at peace. “May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace,” she wrote.
