Shemar Franklin Moore is an American actor well-known for notable roles such as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless, Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, and the lead role of Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T. all on CBS. He was also the third permanent host of Soul Train, from 1999 to 2003.

Moore was born in Oakland, California on April 20, 1970. He moved with her mother to Denmark as an infant, and then to Bahrain when he was four. Moore tended a British private school in Bahrain. Moore worked as a model when he was in college.
