Dr. Tucker- I’m still trying to process this, but the world lost an absolutely amazing soul. Sheila Tucker Wolfe I met you when I was just 17, just really starting out my career in vet med. You were always so happy and bubbly, you always answered the million questions I had with a smile. When I moved on, we stayed in touch and you became more than just a doctor I worked with. You became family. You cheered me on through my career and watched me grow. We entered motherhood together only 10 days apart and you helped plan the shower for sweet Clara.

We were supposed to see each other today, I couldn’t wait for you to meet Clara and to be able laugh and joke around awhile. Thank you for being a cheerleader and helping me get to where I am in vet med today.

I was hoping I would wake up and find it was an awful dream that you’re gone but that is not the case. Sheila Tucker Wolfe I have no idea what I’m going to do without you. Working with you was the best experience I had in veterinary medicine. Everything from your compassion to Your silliness made working with you some of my best times. But your friendship was EVERYTHING. You have picked me up more times than I can count. Your smile and tight hugs were all I needed most days. Even with our busy schedules you always made time when I needed you even if it was just with witty texts. We celebrated my girls life events together as well as some of yours. And most importantly you continued to care for all my pets not only as my vet but my friend. Especially when I had to make decisions that I knew the answers but couldn’t bear to go there.

My heart is broken. There is simply no other way to put it. Not only for myself but for your family, for your son. Tucker, I am going to miss you fiercely. I seriously have no idea how to accept this loss. I love you, my friend. ❤️

Our Veterinary community lost one of its shining stars. She was a brilliant veterinarian, a true friend to so many, an animal rescuer, a wife, a mother, and the most incredible baker! Sheila Tucker Wolfe “snarky” will forever be your word. The world is left a little darker without you ❤️. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers ❤️
