Albert Walker Mondane, better known as Sauce Walka, is an American rapper and composer from Houston, Texas. He was born on June 29, 1990.

He is of Honduran origin. Albert Mondane began rapping in 2007 under the alias A-Walk and was a member of the Houston rap duo Mostheard. Mondane began releasing mixtapes under the alias Sauce Walka in 2014, the same year he formed the combo Sauce Twinz with fellow rapper Sancho Saucy. He is credited with popularizing the present use of the hip-hop slang phrase “drip,” which he frequently utilizes in his rhymes.  Mondane rose to prominence in 2015 after releasing a diss song titled “Wack 2 Wack” directed at Drake, accusing him of copying Houston hip-hop culture.

In the summer of 2009, Mondane was involved in a gun-related incident. According to court documents, Mondane pleaded guilty to deadly conduct after being charged with shooting and wounding a person during a performance at Texas Southern University, and he was sentenced to community supervision. In 2018, Houston Police told KPRC that Mondane was a member of the violent street gang “Mash Mode” in 2009, going by the moniker “A-Walk” at the time.

The Sauce Factory was classified as a “documented gang” and “known for criminal behavior” in Texas state court filings in 2018. Mondane responded to the claims by saying: “I’m going to keep rapping because I know I’m not part of a gang. I know we’re not a gang, I know I’m a record label, I know I’m an artist, and I’m not into gang behavior or any of the other things that’s going on; I’m not concerned about it because that’s not what’s going on.”
