Jacob Bergquist, the 27-year-old Boise mall shooting suspect that killed two people and injured four others, has died on October 26.

It is unsure how Bergquist sustained his injuries but it is believed he was wounded in the ensuing shootout between him and the police after he fatally shot several people at the mall.

The deceased victims were identified as Jo Acker, age 26, and Roberto Padilla Arguelles, age 49. Other injured victims are a police officer, a 52-year-old female, a 23-year-old female, and a 68-year-old female.

Jacob Bergquist is a 27-year-old man from Boise, Idaho, who launched a random shootout at the Boise Towne Square.

A photo has not yet surfaced online of Bergquist. As per Heavy, there is a social media profile by the name Jacob Bergquist whose posts included Boise police and videos of shooting guns.

Whether he is the same person or not remains unconfirmed at the time of publication.

Bergquist’s exact location at Boise is not known but he had come in contact with the police previously for disorderly conduct or trespassing.

The police reported he was not an employee at the mall. However, he frequently visited the mall and the security guards had confronted him for his disorderly behavior.

Jacob Bergquist was not officially arrested as he was shot and admitted to the hospital where he subsequently died of his injuries.

Although it’s not confirmed how he got shot, the police believe he was involved in a shootout with the officers and was injured.

Law enforcement is still investigating the real motive behind the shootout. As per CBS News, there was no connection between him and the victims, and the shootout appears to be random.

A security officer approached Bergquist at the mall and he fatally shot the officer and fired multiple shots in the building that ultimately hit his second deceased victim.

He then walked around the mall and injured two other women. The police stepped in at this point and a shootout occurred which injured two more victims.
