Furthermore, Kennedy handled PA responsibilities at Ohio State for matches and events involving baseball, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey and women’s hockey matches, and he served in men’s basketball games.

Bob Kennedy is no more as he died at the age of 59 on Sunday. The University’s athletic department released a press release revealing that Bob died but didn’t give the death cause.

Reportedly, Bob was scheduled to announce Ohio State baseball’s series finale with Illinois on Sunday, but he didn’t arrive at the stadium.

Following that, Ohio State athletic department officials reached local authorities to do a wellness assessment at his House north of Columbus. Later, OSU Announcer was found dead in his home.

Bob Kennedy Obituary: Tributes Pours On Social Media

The Ohio State athletic department shared Bob Kennedy’s obituary, revealing that Kennedy was found dead in his home. Following that, everyone was left devasted, and tributes were pouring on social media.

Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith also paid tribute to Kennedy, writing, “IP to a good man and great Buckeye.” Andy Winters wrote on Twitter, “The voice of Otterbein. RIP Bob. You will be sorely missed.”

Bob Kennedy Health Condition Before Death

Bob Kennedy died at the age of 59, and following his death, everyone was eager to know about his health condition as his death cause had not been revealed.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had shared some posts on Facebook where he talked about his health. On April 24, he took to Facebook to share something about his health.

Kennedy said his health was not well but unrelated to Cancer or heart. He said Kennedy was talking about osteoarthritis in his lower back, knees and legs. 

Also, he and his doctor had a game plan coming that would include cortisone and physical therapy. So, he was also hoping for a positive vibe regarding his health.

Considering these points, it can be said that Kennedy’s death may have come after this health issue. Before making the post on April 24, he had also posted a statement saying, 

“You never know when the sand is going to run out of the hourglass. So I Just wanted to say I Love You! I’m going to challenge one person out of my family and friends to put this on their wall. Tomorrow is not promised!! I love you all!
