During a new interview, Nicolle Wallace admitted that her The View firing back in 2015 felt no less than personal. In fact, it was a lot ‘like being broken up with’, according to her!

While chatting with The Los Angeles Times, Nicole Wallace talked about the time she got fired from The View and discussed what she’s learned about the process ever since.

After all, the current MSNBC host was at her first job in the entertainment industry back then and so when she was fired, that is when she first learned how things work.

At that point in her career, however, she admits that things felt really painful.

‘Being fired from a TV show where you think you’re kind of baring your soul feels personal because it is. I think what I did not understand is: It really was a casting, and a casting they did not like.’

Fans of The View may remember that Nicolle appeared for one season and was the Republican voice on the show.

She appeared alongside co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez as well as Rosie O’Donnell and she tells the publication that she truly loved being a part of the show.

However, that is not to say that there were no tensions between her and the other ladies.

‘I sought to make peace with Rosie O’Donnell and Rosie Perez. I had a really special friendship with Whoopi Goldberg,’ Nicolle admitted.

Speaking of Whoopi, she also dished that the actress was the first person that Nicolle actually heard say that Donald Trump would become president back then, amid the elections.

‘The first human being who I’ve ever heard say out loud, back in the summer of 2015 — that ‘[Donald Trump] is going to be a president, guys.’  I remember just whipping my head around and looking at her.’
