Authorities discovered his lifeless body in the James River at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, after he was reported missing. Both the Richmond Police Department and the Richmond Fire Department were there at the site, responding to a water rescue call, where Nasal was regrettably pronounced deceased.

The search and rescue attempt, which had been begun in response to Nasal’s last sighting in the Belle Isle area, unfortunately turned into a recovery operation when his death was discovered downstream from Texas Beach, near the dam along Tredegar Street. Nasal was last seen on the James River, likely around Texas Beach, around 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 23.

While investigations are still underway, Richmond police believe Nasal’s abduction and death were not the result of foul play.
