Mish Michaels, a Boston meteorologist, died at the age of 53, according to a touching tribute written by Terry Eliasen for WBZ.

Her death was announced on Wednesday, March 16th, and her family has subsequently issued a statement.

Former and current coworkers have paid emotional tributes to Mish, sharing their wonderful memories of him.

“I’m incredibly disappointed to see this,” WBZ’s Dan Roche stated. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mish’s family. She was devoted to her job, family, and friends. RIP.”

“Our Amateur Radio team is surprised, heartbroken, and devastated to learn of Mish Michaels’ passing,” another tweet from the Amateur Radio Station said.

“Mish was adamant about paving the path for female meteorologists, not just in Boston, but around the country,” Terry wrote.
