Miles Teller parents: Meet Mike Teller, Merry Flowers

Miles Teller, who was born in Pennsylvania, developed his passion for acting while in high school in Florida. He rose to prominence as an actor to watch after surviving a life-threatening car accident that left his face scarred, including performances in Rabbit Hole (2010), The Spectacular Now (2013), and Whiplash (2014).

Teller had a mixed bag of big-budget films including Divergent (2014) and Fantastic Four (2015), but he displayed his flexibility with major parts in War Dogs (2016), Bleed for This (2016), and Thank You for Your Service (2017) before establishing his place as a big-screen star with Top Gun: Maverick (2017). (2022).

Miles Teller, the third child of nuclear power plant engineer Mike Teller and real estate agent Merry Flowers, grew up in Georgia, Delaware, and New Jersey before settling in Citrus County, Florida, in the late 1990s.

Teller spent the entire year in Florida playing baseball and learning to play the guitar and drums. His enthusiasm for acting, however, did not develop until his sophomore year at Lecanto High School.

The “sexy” theatre instructor first drew the popular youngster in, but he quickly found himself flourishing under her tutelage. His outstanding senior year was capped by strong grades and a reign as homecoming king, and he eventually rose to the position of president of the school theatrical club.
