Megan Rae Taylor Died in a two-vehicle crash in Spring Lake Township
Robert Clark At 3:08 p.m. on March 2, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Scott County 23 (Panama Avenue), south of Scott County 68 (190th Street East), in Spring Lake Township.
According to the early investigation, a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan being driven by Megan Rae Taylor (50) of Lonsdale was struck by a 2007 GMC Sierra being driven southbound on Panama Avenue by Arturo Garcia Rivera (39), of Lakeville, who was towing an enclosed trailer.
Rivera was safe because he was restrained by his harness. In addition, Rivera had an 11-year-old companion who was not buckled up. The kid was injured but not seriously when he was thrown from the car.
To get the kid to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, an ambulance was used.
A seatbelt was on Taylor at the moment of the collision. At the site, she was declared dead.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Department claims that it does not think that drugs or booze played a role in the collision.
Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the victim in this event.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are all still looking into the accident.
The Mdewakanton Public Safety, Prior Lake Fire Department, Prior Lake Police Department, and Allina Health EMS provided assistance to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office during this event.
