She is the daughter of Kathy, an educator and school nurse, and Joe Bello, a builder.
Her father is an Italian American from Montella, Italy, while her mother is Polish American.

Political science was her major at Villanova University. Bello refined her acting abilities in many New York theatrical shows following graduation.
