He has also played Ryan Lafferty in the ABC drama series ‘Brothers & Sisters’ and James in the HBO supernatural horror drama show ‘True Blood’. A native of Ohio, Grimes has always harboured an interest in acting. After obtaining a high school diploma from Dayton Christian High School, he enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, from where he received a degree in acting. In 2006, he made his screen debut in the horror film ‘All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’. He played the lead role in his next film, the sports drama ‘War Eagle, Arkansas’. He then played supporting roles in two vastly different films before appearing on TV for the first time in ‘Brothers & Sisters’.
