Liza Koshy is a lot of things. She started her career on Vine, before launching a YouTube channel. Koshy has amassed over 17 million subscribers on her main channel. She is also an actress, having appeared in projects like Freakish, Work It, and most recently, Transformers: Rise of The Beasts. Koshy shared some new swimsuit photos on Instagram this week. Koshy opened up about her favorite workouts in an interview with Woman's Health. She says that she loves to run as a way to stay in shape. "Running to the beat and just being out of my head and in the world, and doing one thing over and over and over again. . . I'm totally present in my body." Running has a lot of benefits, according to ACEFitness.org. "A little bit of running a day may help keep the blues away, according to a new study that showed that increased activation of the bilateral prefrontal cortex accompanies improvements to mood and cognitive function after only a brief bout of moderate-intensity running."

One of Koshy's workout secrets? A great playlist. Her favorite workout music might surprise people. "My own internal, like, revenge at the world for giving you shit for listening to Christmas music [when it's not Christmas]," she told Women's Health. Koshy says that Pentatonix's Christmas albums are favorites. "One hundred seventy-five to 195 beats per minute. Pentatonix Christmas carols. And I'm just going so f*cking hard."

Koshy tells Women's Health that she likes to weight train to help her stay in shape. "[Lifting weights] has made me stronger and a faster runner, a better dancer. I could not have done the things I did for Work It rehearsal-wise, or even just acting-wise, without having that confidence and strength in my own body to be able to perform." AceFitness.org states that there are a lot of benefits to weight training. "Increased strength of bones, muscles and connective tissues (the tendons and ligaments)—This increased strength decreases the risk of injury."

Koshy is a big fan of yoga, and she revealed to Women's Health that she has a specific favorite. "This is going to make me sound way cooler than I am, but yoga nidra is a really dope practice," she says. "It brings you through your body during a meditation, and as a physical person, it's a really fun practice to tap your fingers and feel, like, the muscle or the tissue around your kneecap. It goes into detail on where you should be in your body and it pulls you entirely out of your head. If you do breath work, your body tingles. It's foo-foo as hell—it's very L.A.—but it's also just very spiritual."

Koshy opened up about her Transformers role in an interview with Collider. "Honestly, I feel like I'm stepping into a new chapter," she says. "I feel like I'm in a more strong era, the most strongest, the strongest voice of my own story…So to play this strong voice is a metaphor of where I'm at in my womanhood, okay? So, I feel like watch Transformers, honestly. I'm not just trying to make this an ad, but I really appreciate the power that Arcee is and I'm trying to tap more into that in my life and stand firm and stand ground, you know what I mean?
