Lil Scrappy, whose real name is Darryl Raynard Richardson III, was born in the United States on January 19, 1984.  Lil Jon, a musician and record producer, caught Richardson’s attention as he was doing a performance in his hometown of Atlanta. Alongside other early BME Recordings musicians Trillville, Lil Scrappy was one of the first artists to be signed to Lil Jon’s label.
