In addition to being a wealthy businessman, Ridley-Tree was a well-known admirer of art. Ridley-Tree and her late husband, Paul, contributed greatly to a variety of charitable organizations and causes in the Santa Barbara area; many of these have their names in honor.

After getting married in 1988, the Ridley-Trees relocated from Los Angeles to Montecito and started Leslie’s charitable endeavors right away.
