Leslie Abrams Gardner husband: Who is Jimmie Gardner?

Jimmie Gardner was wrongfully convicted of assault and rape nearly three decades after an investigator produced falsified evidence by the way of fingerprint and DNA sample results that were not Jimmie’s.

The former minor league baseball player spent the better part of 23 years fruitlessly appealing to courts and even writing a letter to former President Barrack Obama. He was finally exonerated in 2016 when all charges against him were dropped.

How long have they been married?

They have been together since 2018 but have been friends for much longer. The two met around 2016 at the event for black judges where Jimmie had come along with a friend.

He had been to various events and places to provide the audience with some insight into issues pertaining to the legal system and had therefore gained some popularity in judicial circles.

During the event, Jimmie and Leslie talked about some legal issues and their personal experiences and this blossomed into a very loving friendship.
