Joseph, known affectionately as Joe, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident on July 29, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and a profound impact on the lives of his loved ones.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Samantha dos Santos, and their seven cherished children: Kaylen Clark, Saige, Ellie, Joshua, Easton, Sienna, and Ayla Vashaw. He was a devoted husband and father, finding immense happiness in the well-being of his family.
Described by his wife as noble, kind, and selfless, Joe’s life was dedicated to serving others. He constantly prioritized the needs and happiness of those around him. A true family man, Joe shared his boundless energy with his loved ones through activities such as concerts, lacrosse, mountain biking, and music practices. He was a master organizer, arranging memorable hikes, lively lip sync contests, and board game nights that brought his family closer together.
Along with being a devoted parent, Joe was also a dependable friend and a role model for his kids. His encounters were characterized by a lovely fusion of love, careful listening, insightful counsel, and contagious humor. He was incredibly proud of his family’s accomplishments and enthusiastically shared their stories, images, and triumphs.
Joe had a special talent for making people laugh and was well known for his quick wit and capacity to establish long-lasting relationships. He had a remarkable ability to find humor in any circumstance, and his friendliness and charm helped to relax others. Even in dark times, he was a ray of sunshine, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.

Joe, who has experience in the construction sector, has always demonstrated his intelligence and commitment to excellence. He was a respected and adored coworker because of his passion and capacity to foster relationships.
Joe was a broker of harmony and a pillar of hope, and those who knew him will never forget him. On Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a memorial service for him in Jerry’s Locker in Salt Lake City’s 4th West Apartments.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Farmington, Utah, meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Both on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Russon Mortuary in Farmington and on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the church before services, there will be a viewing. On the Facebook page of Russon Mortuary & Crematory, the services will be broadcast live.
