Joseph Cross is an American actor. He has also ventured into producing. His acting career started in the late 1990s, appearing in the films Desperate Measures, Wide Awake, and Jack Frost. He later gained recognition for his role as Casey Hughes in the soap opera As the World Turns. In the 2000s, he became more active on the big screen, playing supporting roles in Strangers with Candy and Flags of Our Fathers. His performance as Augusten Burroughs in the movie Running with Scissors won him a Satellite Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. His next role was as Dick Pabich in Milk. In the 2010s, he starred in the movies Mine Games, Lincoln, Jimmy P., and Everything Beautiful Is Far Away. He also appeared as Tom in the HBO series Big Little Lies.
