Although she began her career with stage productions, Hinton eventually stepped into the mainstream entertainment industry and worked in several prominent projects. She made both her big- and small-screen debuts almost simultaneously. Before Hinton gained prominence through 'Grey's Anatomy,' she made guest appearances in a string of TV series, such as 'Gilmore Girls,' 'Everybody Hates Chris,' 'Zoey 101,' 'Ghost Whisperer,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Lie to Me, ‘Bones,' and 'Scandal.'
