Police verified that two persons were shot in the vicinity of a restaurant in Gwinnett County, and one of them died.

Just after 6 o’clock on Friday, police were called to the 1300 block of Indian Trail Road for a report of a person shot. They discovered two males who had been shot when they got there.

Jerrett Mitchell, 22, has been identified as the victim by investigators. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.

The second victim was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment after sustaining a non-life-threatening injury.

According to a witness, he approached the wounded victim who was still alive. He requested the witness to look after his friend, who was discovered dead in the store’s entranceway.
