Biography:

Jeanne Tripplehorn was born on June 10, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. She received her professional training from the Juilliard School’s Drama Division. In 1991, she made her TV debut in the television movie The Perfect Tribute. The following year, she had her first movie role as Dr. Beth Garner in Basic Instinct. She next played Abby McDeere in The Firm co-starring Tom Cruise, after which she starred in Waterworld.

In the 2000s, she had starring performances in the films Timecode, Paranoid, Relative Values, The Amateurs, and Winged Creatures. During this period, she also starred as Barbara Henrickson in the TV series Big Love. She was then critically praised for her portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the TV movie Grey Gardens. In addition, she played Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.
