Jason Verrett (born June 18, 1991) is a cornerback for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). He was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He went to TCU for college football.

Verrett went to B Gale Wilson Middle School and Angelo Rodriguez High School, where he played football and ran track. In football, he was a running back on offense and a cornerback on defense.

In his junior and senior years, he was named offensive back of the year. Verrett competed in the 100-meter dash event in 2007, setting a PR of 11.87 seconds at the SCAC FINALS Meet, finishing third in the freshman/sophomore finals. This was his only year competing in track.

Verrett chose Santa Rosa Junior College after graduating from high school with no college scholarship offers. Verrett was named to the all-conference first team while at SRJC in 2010. Rivals.com rated him as a three-star recruit.
