Ichiro Suzuki is a former Japanese professional baseball outfielder who played for 28 seasons. Ichiro is considered as one of the best Japanese baseball players in history.

Ichiro Suzuki is not in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He will become eligible for induction in the summer of 2025.

However, he is set to be inducted into the Mariners’ Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Suzuki received 17 consecutive All-Star and Gold Glove selections in his NPB and MLB careers, won nine league batting titles, and was named most valuable player (MVP) four times.

Ichiro Suzuki won seven consecutive NPB batting titles as well as three consecutive Pacific League MVP awards. Suzuki was the first Japanese-born position player to be posted and signed by an MLB club in 2001.

Ichiro Suzuki was named AL Rookie of the Year and AL MVP after leading the American League (AL) in batting average and stolen bases.

Ichiro Suzuki finished his professional career with 4,367 hits in Japan and the United States, the most of any player in baseball history.
