Adam Silver, an American lawyer, and sports executive is the fifth and current National Basketball Association (NBA) commissioner.

In 1992, Adam joined the NBA and held various positions within the league, becoming a chief operating officer.

The sports executive was deputy commissioner under his predecessor and mentor, David Stern, and was named the new commissioner after Stern’s retirement in 2014.
