Why Did Henry Segura Murder Wife Brandi Peters?

According to Prosecutor, Henry Segura killed the family in retaliation for owing Brandi Peters $20,000 in overdue child support for JaVonte.

They argued about Segura’s ability to pay in the weeks preceding up to the murders, and he received letters from the state’s Department of Revenue attempting to enroll him in the child support system.

On the day after the deaths were discovered at Peters’ home on Nov. 20, 2010, he lied to Tallahassee Police several times. They obtained Henry’s phone records in the process and discovered that he was present in Brandi’s home at the time of her murder.

Brandi’s blood, on the other hand, was too powerful to allow the extraction of foreign DNA from the crime scene, according to the episode.

Henry Segura entered a not guilty plea after being brought before the court. His first trial, in 2017, ended in a stalemate and was declared a mistrial.
