Influencer Ariella Nyssa Shares Swimsuit Photo as "Hips Don't Lie"
Emily Baldwin Ariella Nyssa is one of Instagram's hottest influencers. She's also written a book and has her own clothing line. Nyssa shares a lot of revealing posts on Instagram. This week, she posted a set of swimsuit photos. She captioned the post, "Hips don't lie." How does she stay so fit? Nyssa doesn't skip leg day. According to this Instagram video, she likes to do squats. Nyssa captioned the post, "Moving your body is a celebration! 🏋️♀️ No matter what kind of body you have, you can wear whatever cute workout sets you like !" The AARP reports that squats are a great exercise. "Squats strengthen all of the muscle groups in your legs, including your calves, quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes, as well as muscles in your lower back and core. Those muscles provide the foundation for most activities of daily living."
In her video, Nyssa is seen doing hip workouts, specifically hip thrusts and donkey kicks. Having strong hips is important. The Arthritis Foundation reports, "A key goal of a hip exercise program is to strengthen the muscles that support your joints. The deep stabilizing muscles of the hip can absorb shock and protect the joint from painful and harmful movements. So performing exercises that work the pelvis and buttocks can help improve your strength, flexibility and pain. A 2017 study of Finnish women with hip OA found that after a 12-week exercise program, pain in 13 women declined 30%. One measure of hip strength improved by 20% and one measure of hip range of motion improved by 30%. Their joint function and health-related quality of life improved slightly. A 2016 study of 210 people with hip OA found that those who participated in a 12-week exercise program had less pain and more mobility than the placebo or no-treatment groups."
Nyssa is all about being comfortable in her own body. She captioned this Instagram video, "I remember when I was a teenager, I tried every diet and exercise regime and nothing was ever enough. One time I even took lettuce to school because I heard it had 0 calories. I was never content with my body, there was always something I wanted to change 😭😭It got to the point where I didn't want to experience life's adventures because I couldn't find the right outfit, or I didn't like my body that day, or the thought of other people thinking negatively about my body consumed me 😢💔Until one day, I realised that I was holding myself back from living the life I was meant too. I was judging my body and treating her like crap when all she wants to do is look after me 🥹💕It's time we start treating our bodies the way they SHOULD be treated. It's time we take our power back from the diet industry and SHINE in the temples we were born in."
Nyssa doesn't listen to other's opinions, and encouraged others to do the same in the caption of this Instagram post. "Every time I post my cellulite in all it's glory. This is the response from a handful of people. It's so sad to me that people can't see the beauty in cellulite and stretch marks. Our skin isn't meant to be untextured. We are a growing, living, being. And I'm so sick of the narrative that these parts of us are unworthy and ugly. This is your reminder to ignore people's negative opinions of your cellulite. Your cellulite is BEAUTIFUL. Your lines and marks are BEAUTIFUL. They make you who you are. So f*** all of those people who don't think so. YOU are incredible."
Nyssa bravely opened up about her miscarriage in this Instagram post. She wrote in the caption, "I hope I can open up a space for anyone who has been through anything like this. To feel safe. To feel heard. To feel not alone. Because you aren't alone. I'm not posting this for sympathy. I want to post this because you have all been with me through so much over the past 5 years. You have helped me through so much. And I hope I can help you all just the same."
