He was a Northern Collegiate basketball player, track star, and boxing champion in high school. In terms of his professional career, he began playing in the NFL after being selected by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He was the MVP of Villanova’s 1980 Blue-Gray Game, where he was a four-year letterman. In 1983, he had 13 sacks, including a career-high five against the Washington Redskins on October 2, 1983.
