Octavia Blakè is a character in The 100. She débuts in the first episode of the first season of The 100. She is portrayed by starring member Marie Avgeropoulos and guest starring member Olivia Steele-Falconer.

She is best known for her role as Octavia Blake on The CW’s post-apocalyptic science fiction television series The 100 (2014–2020). Avgeropoulos was born on 17 June 1986 in Thunder Bay, Ontario to Greek parents.

Anders has Levitt use the M-Cap to extract Octavia’s memories of her friends, developing a particular interest in Clarke Griffin. Levitt becomes interested in Octavia’s history, reassuring her that while she is a warrior, she is not a bad person. After learning that years have passed on Skyring while she’s been gone, Octavia offers to give Levitt the information that he wants to know in exchange for him helping her return there for Hope.

Octavia looks at the EEG with Gabriel which shows Josephine’s brain wave pattern flatline, Josephine having been destroyed by Clarke for good. In Ashes to Ashes, Octavia, Bellamy, Clarke and Gabriel are brainstorming on how to get back to Sanctum and save their people.

Over the next year, Bellamy is unable to see Octavia in Lockup. He is then approached by Commander Shumway who tells Bellamy that 100 prisoners are being sent to the ground, among them his sister. What happened to Avgeropoulos?

In late 2018, Avgeropoulos was involved in a domestic violence incident when she and her boyfriend allegedly began arguing in a car on the Ventura (134) Freeway shortly after midnight on 5 August 2018. Avgeropoulos was on new medication mixed with alcohol, and was accused of striking him multiple times in the head, neck and arm, resulting in minor injuries according to the District Attorney’s Office. She was then charged with domestic violence. Avgeropoulos’s boyfriend wanted the charges dropped and stated that she doesn’t pose a threat. The case was formally dismissed with all charges dropped, as there was no intent of harm on Avgeropoulos’ part, but rather “an adverse reaction to medication that triggered the outburst.”

Avgeropoulos was born on 17 June 1986 in Thunder Bay, Ontario to Greek parents. She grew up fishing, hunting and camping, spending most of her free time outdoors. She started playing drums when she was 16. After studying broadcast journalism for two years in her hometown, she moved to Europe. Several months later, she came back to Canada and settled in Vancouver. At the age of 20 she underwent surgery in order to remove a big tumour from her chest and throat, with her vocal cords being removed and put back in. This procedure affected her voice.

She instead encouraged Octavia to grow strong. Over time, Octavia trained her combat skills and her hunting intelligence. As her bond with Indra grew and her abilities increased, she became Indra’s second. The young Blake then truly was a member of Trikru, fighting for their interests and supporting their leader.

As Octavia, him, and others fought to stop A.L.I.E.’s cult, she put her rage away to save her own life. The second the threat dropped, though, she turned back on Pike and enacted her revenge. He took her Lincoln, and she took his life. This moment traumatized Bellamy and changed their relationship forever.
