In addition to playing a variety of roles in a wide range of film genres, he is well known for his distinctive deep voice. Freeman was married to Jeanette Adair Bradshaw from October 22, 1967, to November 18, 1979, and then to Myrna Colley-Lee on June 16, 1984.
