Fans got a sneak peek at Keanu Reeves' upcoming fourth John Wick movie last month, a new trailer that showed Reeves in peak kick-ass physical condition. The Canadian native stays focused on keeping healthy and staying in shape, as evidenced by his roles in The Matrix and Point Break. How does he stay so fit? Reeves sticks to a strict diet and chooses healthy food. His go-to foods include high-protein choices, lean chicken breast, rice and lots of vegetables. "Lean meats are a good source of protein and have fewer calories than non-lean meats. Lean meats are popular amongst people following low calorie and low fat diets.," says diabetes.co.uk. "Poultry is a good source of selenium, vitamins B3 and B6, and choline. Selenium has antioxidant properties which help to prevent free radicals from damaging cells. Selenium also helps the immune system. Vitamins B3 and B6 help the body to convert carbohydrate into glucose."

Reeves, who showed off his martial arts skills in the Matrix movies, still trains as part of his cardio workout routine. He practices Brazilian jiujitsu and judo. Martial arts such as tai chi can decrease stress, anxiety and depression; improve mood and aerobic capacity; increase energy and stamina; improve flexibility, balance and agility; and strengthen muscles, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Reeves incorporates circuit training in his workout routine. He does about 20 reps of various exercises to keep himself toned. The American Council on Exercise said circuit training can lead to weight loss and improved muscle definition, according to LiveStrong.

Reeves avoids food high in sodium or fat. A low-sodium diet can help prevent heart problems, lower blood pressure and limit fluid buildup around the heart, lungs or legs, according to the Cleveland Clinic. "If the kidneys can't eliminate enough sodium, it builds up in the blood. Sodium attracts and holds water, so the blood volume increases. The heart must work harder to pump blood, and that increases pressure in the arteries. Over time this can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and kidney disease," says the Mayo Clinic.
