According to a report from The Huffington Post, Kate Beckinsale was recently confused for Kate Middleton, and the former handled it in a way that was quite endearing. As fans of the Underworld alum know, Beckinsale was in the headlines after suffering a ruptured ovarian cyst.

Kate posted a selfie of herself in the hospital in which looked like she was suffering. Reported by USA Today, the outlet published a photo of Kate Middleton along with the headline that reported on Kate Beckinsale’s health complications. You can see the mix-up for yourself below.

Rather than get upset about it, Kate responded with grace and civility, even taking to her Instagram to laugh it off. The star described herself as “so moved and touched” by the fact USA Today confused her for the British Royal.

Kate wrote on her post, “I am feeling much better and I hope all the other girls going through it are too. Back to resume my royal duties. Williams says hi.”

Fellow actress, Sarah Hyland, from Modern Family, poked fun at the situation as well with her post, “Tell Meghan I said hi!” As for how USA Today responded to the mistake, the outlet apologized for mixing the two women up, despite how flattering the comparison was for Ms. Kate Beckinsale.

As it was mentioned above, Kate posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed earlier in the week in which she was looking quite sad. Hopefully, this incident with USA Today gave her something to laugh about.
