Hannah Dardashti Obituary, Visitation and Memorial Service, Seon Kinrot’s wife
Isabella Floyd Hannah Dardashti, who was from Brookline, Massachusetts, sadly passed away.
Her death was announced in a post on Facebook as ITIM shared their condolences on it’s page:
ITIM is saddened by the passing of Hannah Dardashti. Hannah volunteered at ITIM in 2014, and worked on changing the protocols in the rabbinate to establish personal status for purposes of marriage. At the time, the Israeli rabbinate had no protocols for who could testify that one was unmarried and chaos reigned. Hannah began a marathon telephone campaign to highlight the inconsistencies among different marriage registrars around Israel. After we heard about Hannah’s passing, we found some of her emails. Because of Hannah’s work, ITIM was able to convince the rabbinate to make the process of testifying easier and it is safe to say that Hannah’s work directly changed policy in Israel and made it easier for thousands of couples to be married in Israel. Like many people who volunteer for ITIM or who just pass through, Hannah was motivated to make things better in Israel. May her family be comforted and may her memory be a blessing.
At Levine Chapels, a funeral service was conducted on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM (470 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446).
