Grace Palmer Shares Swimsuit Photo as She "Met a Puppy"
Emily Baldwin Grace Palmer is feeling puppy love in her bathing suit. In a new social media post the Adrift and Shortland Street star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while on the beach and acquainting herself with a new furry friend. "Met a puppy. Had to give it back. Felt sad," she captioned the post. "Gorgeous," commented one of her followers. How does the New Zealand star approach diet and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Grace indulges in self-care. "When I get a chance to treat myself, it's with a good massage. I don't get them often, but when I do, I go all out – 90 minutes, full body," she told Stuff NZ. According to the Mayo Clinic, studies support the many benefits of getting a regular rub down. These include stress reduction, lessening pain and muscle tightness, increased relaxation, and improved immunity.
Grace gets her sweat on early in the day. "I'm bloody useless in the mornings, but I try to get up early (by early I mean 8) for a workout," she tells NewsHub NZ. "I'm one of those weird people who loves working out. Exercise makes me feel a million bucks, and I've found some awesome at-home training apps."
Another way Grace likes to relax is "gin and a good book," she told NewsHub. You can also find her at the beach "with a good book and some watermelon," she added to Billie NZ. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
Grace also gets her z's – at night and throughout the day. "I don't have much trouble switching off… in fact, that might be my problem haha. I'm a professional napper," she joked to Billie NZ. According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z's is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
Grace is "a big walker," she wrote in an Instagram post, adding "it's the best way to see a new city." Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
You might find Grace in an exercise class. "I love to exercise. For me, it has so many physical and mental benefits, so I try to workout everyday. I loving Barre rn," she told Billie NZ.
