GoFundme; Dr John Hermann Funeral Service, Shelter medical supplies
Robert Clark This past week, the world lost a great guy. In addition to being a son, brother, and family member, Dr.
John Hermann was also a devoted and devoted friend to many. He was a successful businessman as well as a veterinarian and animal rights activist.
He loved his patients and their dogs more than the average veterinarian would. In clinics, sayings like “they’re all set” or “discount this or that” were frequently used while instructing staff members. Clients turned into friends, who then turned into family.
He was more than happy to assist in any way that was needed.
Dr. Hermann spent a lot of time with the neighborhood animal shelters and rescues in addition to his usual clinic schedule. Dr. Hermann intervened to provide assistance in the best way he knew how, knowing that municipal shelters are woefully underfunded, overcrowded, and overwhelming. He devoted a significant portion of his time to teaching and assisting animal control officers and shelter staff members through emergencies and proper shelter care.
Pets were vaccinated and licensed by holding yearly or even monthly low-cost clinics in shelter and government buildings.
He always made sure that there were enough medical supplies on hand to allow staff to manage most situations without leaving the shelter or to safely transport them to him or another vet.
It’s clear that Dr. Hermann would be pleased with this GoFundMe. We are raising money in his honor to provide urgently needed medical supplies for area shelters.
We’ll be looking to buy a number of items for shelters, including:
Bandages and vet wrap, towels, flea/tick prevention products, syringes, disinfectants, muzzles, leashes, collars, fur clippers and blades, scales, dewormers
Additionally, money may be set aside for things like: *Vaccinations* *Heartworm detection and prevention* *Vet visits* *Training for shelter personnel
We are aware that Dr. Hermann received a great deal of affection and care. Everyone is trying to find a way to assist! By doing this, you can pay tribute to him while also helping a cause that was important to him.
There have been discussions about dedicating a shelter in his honor. As soon as we learn more about that, we’ll let everyone know!
I appreciate your love and support, everyone. We value all the prayers and wonderful comments that have been sent our way.
From the staff, friends, and family of Dr. Hermann, much love!
