Panaji, Sep 15 (IANS) The BJP’s Goa unit on Thursday held a center council meeting to brief individuals about new political turn of events and examine the projects to be coordinated on the event of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.

Conversing with correspondents here, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said: “We had met a gathering to brief about political improvement to individuals and projects to be coordinated once in a while of Prime Minister’s birthday.”

On Wednesday, two third of the Congress Legislature Party (eight MLAs) joined the BJP. Previous Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Michael Lobo, Delilah Lobo, Kedar Naik, Sankalp Amonkar, Rajesh Faldesai, Aleixo Sequeira and Rudolf Fernandes, are the eight administrators who changed from the excellent old party to the saffron party.

BJP state president Sadanand Tanavade likewise said that main new political turns of events and projects connected with Prime Minister’s birthday were examined in the gathering.

“We needed to brief our individuals about political turn of events, wherein eight Congress MLAs have gone along with us. Thus this gathering was met,” Tanavade said.

He said that few projects have been coordinated in the state on the event of the Prime Minister’s birthday.

BJP’s senior chief Ramesh Tawadkar, who is additionally Assembly Speaker, said that they were informed about how the eight Congress MLAs joined the saffron party.

“In our center board meeting, we were advised about the political advancement that occurred on Wednesday. Also we talked about projects to be hung on the event of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday,” Tawadkar said.
