Gail O’Neill, an American fashion model who later transitioned into television journalism, lived from February 6, 1962, until October 10, 2023. She was regarded as one of the top black fashion models in the entire globe.

She was included in the well-publicised Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and appeared on the covers of prestigious fashion publications. She worked as a journalist and served as a correspondent for several American networks. She worked for CNN and HGTV in addition to being one of the initial correspondents for The Early Show on CBS.

O’Neill was born in Westchester County, New York, and after graduating from Wesleyan University, she started her modelling career. She soon rose to the top of the modelling industry, gracing the pages of Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Vogue.
