Frederick Slanovec, 41, died on September 4th, 2023.

Visitation will be held on September 11, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Applebee-McPhillips, located at 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on September 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 100 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY.

Fredrick attended Minisink Valley High School and the Merchant Marine Academy.

He was employed by the Orange County and Mount Hope Police Departments, as well as the City of Middletown Police Department.

In order to honor Fredrick’s memory, donations can be made to the Harbor of Grace Recovery Center for Police Officers and 1st Responders, located at 437 Girard Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078, or to the City of Middletown Police Benevolent Association, 2 James Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
