Anderson has been a vegetarian since she was a child. Anderson enjoys the occasional beer—especially at Oktoberfest in Munich. "The main ingredient is usually pure, spring water from a reliable source," says Jim Collins, MD. "It contains no cholesterol or fat, but has low to moderate levels of carbohydrates. Beer does contain an average of 25mg of salt, which isn't all that bad. Anderson loves hitting the slopes with her family. "Skiing gets you outdoors in the winter when we often end up on the couch and are passive," says physical therapist Scott Tremmel. "We're just not as active when the cold weather sets in, but skiing keeps you moving to continue to build up your endurance. When you're skiing, you're often out with a group of friends and you're socializing. You're getting fresh air and taking in the beautiful scenery around you. It's good for your emotional health."
