Evan Ross, also known as Evan Olaf Naess, was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on August 26, 1988. He is the son of Diana Ross and late business magnate Arne Naess, Jr. Evan has one full sibling and several step-siblings through Diana and Arne’s previous and subsequent marriages, including actress Tracee Ellis Ross.
Evan’s father was an extremely successful businessman who made a fortune in shipping, real estate, oil and in the IT world. At the time of his death in 2004, Arne’s business empire was worth around $600 million. Evan Ross began his professional acting career while in high school with a role in the film “ATL”. Since then he has appeared in a range of acting projects, including, “Pride”, “Life Support”, “Gardens of the Night”, “According to Greta”, “Life is Hot in Cracktown”, “Blackwater Transit”, “Case 219”, and “96 Minutes”. He also had a recurring role on the reboot of “90210”. In addition to his acting career, he began working on an album in 2007. The first single, “Yes Me”, was released in 2011. The full album has not yet been completed, as his acting work has taken priority. Personal Life: In July 2013, Evan began dating pop singer Ashlee Simpson. They married in August 2014 at Evan’s mother’s estate in Connecticut. Their daughter Jagger Snow was born in September 2015. Starting in 2018 they began appearing in the E! reality series Ashlee+Evan.
Real Estate: In 2018 Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross let fans into their Los Angeles home through their reality show Ashlee + Evan. The house has been described by Simpson as a creative haven where both she and her husband can pursue their artistic interests, and was also reportedly inspired architecturally by the famous Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.
In September 2020 they paid $4.5 million for a 6,000 square-foot mansion in the LA suburb of Encino, California.
