It’s been just revealed that Eric Adams has been elected as NYC’s second black mayor and people are celebrating. Check out the official reports revealed by The Shade Room.

He has been elected as the 110th mayor of New York City. His victory also makes him the second black mayor elected in the city’s history.

TSR cites the NYT and reveals that Adams took the time to thank his supporters after it was projected that he was set to win the election, and said, ‘We are so divided right now and we’re missing the beauty of our diversity. Today we take off the intramural jersey and we put on one jersey: Team New York.’

TSR continued and said: ‘Adams, who is a former police captain, and the current borough president of Brooklyn, is set to take office on January 1st. The current mayor #BilldeBlasio tweeted his congrats to Adams and said, “A graduate of our public schools, a decorated NYPD veteran.’

Someone commented: ‘Something about him ain’t sitting right with me but I can’t put my finger on it,’ and a follower said: ‘How about giving him a chance AND if you think you can do better, go get his job. Problem solved.’

Another follower said: ‘Anybody that’s cool with deblasio im good off them !!! Get ready for everything y’all was against,’ and a follower said: ‘Y’all better be on y’all Ps & Qs cause he about to be real tough on crime. As he should!’

Someone else posted this: ‘NYC got terrible luck w/ mayors lol hope he different,’ and a follower said: ‘Chille I don care about him being black!! We’ve seen this script before! What’s his policies? Will he make a change??’

A commenter wrote this message: ‘I hope murphy gets jersey again cause we don’t need chris christie best friend running jersey.’

Someone else said: ‘He’s not about to do shit but make shit worse. I advise we start this petition rn’ and a follower said: ‘Humanity began in Africa. We been on this earth millions of years before anybody else so this “First Black” stuff tells a terrible lie like earth wasn’t completely Black people at one point.’

Someone else said: ‘Kansas City Ks has elected our first Black Mayor “Tyrone Garner” Congratulations Sir!!’ and a commenter posted this: ‘Yeah this is some more BS to bring false hope. I ain’t buyin it.’

One follower said: ‘Democrats spoke about police reform but are helping get these guys elected to positions of power…they ain’t going to change sh*t.’
