Dr. Edward Ashman, MD – Las Vegas, NV
James Austin Dr. Edward Ashman is active in sports medicine at the highest level, having served as a team physician at the collegiate level in Virginia, in addition to providing care professional athletes, including members of the ATP Professional Tennis Tour and the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. Dr. Ashman has also provided care for many of the largest and most popular shows on the Las Vegas Strip, including Cirque Du Soleil productions.
Dr. Ashman received a Bachelor of Science in 1992 from Cornell University. Dr. Ashman attended Albany Medical College and received his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. His internship, and residency in Orthopedic Surgery, were completed at Albany Medical Center from 1997 to 2002. In 2003, Dr. Ashman completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Nirschl Sports Clinic Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, D.C. under the guidance of Dr. Robert P. Nirschl. During his fellowship, Dr. Ashman served as a team physician for the George Mason University NCAA football and basketball teams.
