Heather Deen Locklear is an American actress best known for her performance as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place from 1993 to 1999, for which she garnered four consecutive Golden Globe awards for Best Actress – Television Series Drama.

She is well recognized for her role as Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty from 1981 to 1989, which was her first significant television role and the start of a lengthy partnership with creator Aaron Spelling.

Officer Stacy Sheridan on T. J. Hooker (1982-1986) and Caitlin Moore on Spin City (1999-2002) garnered her two additional Golden Globe nominations, this time for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy. She has recurring roles on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland and a starring role on TNT.

Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora’s daughter, Ava Sambora is an aspiring actress and model who has worked with Tammy Weijl.

Locklear was arrested in February 2018 for domestic abuse and assault on a police officer. She was charged with one count of felony domestic violence and three charges of misdemeanor assault on a police officer.

When officers arrived at her Thousand Oaks house, she allegedly kicked three of the arresting sheriff’s deputies and threatened to fire at them if they returned. According to the 911 call recording, Locklear’s brother contacted the police after arriving at her house and finding Locklear and her boyfriend squabbling. Locklear was freed the next day on a $20,000 bail shortly before 6 a.m. Chris Heisser, a former American Motorcycle Association motocross racer, was arrested for driving under the influence.
