Christian James McCollum is a former American professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association.

He was born on September 19, 1991, in Canton, Ohio, United States.

CJ McCollum stands at a height of  6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) tall.

McCollum completed GlenOak high school in Canton, Ohio, where he played high school basketball for the Golden Eagles.

He played college basketball for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks and earned the Patriot League Player of the Year in both 2010 and 2012.

McCollum was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the tenth overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft. A reserve in his first two years, he became a full-time starter for the Trail Blazers in his third season following the decision to become a shooting guard.

McCollum was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player amid his third year in the league in the 2015–16 season.

On August 7, 2021, he was elected president of the National Basketball Players Association, replacing Chris Paul.

In February 2022, McCollum was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans ending his nine-year run with the Blazers. He was subsequently hired as an NBA analyst for ESPN on May 30, 2022.
