Landon is a famous producer and actress, best known for Sanctuary (2016), After Kony: Staging Hope (2011), and The Game Changers (2018). She was formerly married to Michael Landon. Her late husband Michael Landon had a long and successful career in television. He is best known for his roles as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza (1959–1973), Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie (1974–1983), and Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven (1984–1989).

Landon was born Eugene Maurice Orowitz in Forest Hills, New York, on October 31, 1936. He began his acting career in the early 1950s, appearing in several television shows and movies. In 1959, he was cast as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza, a Western drama that became one of the most popular shows on television. Landon remained with Bonanza for 14 seasons, and he won two Golden Globe Awards for his performance.

In 1974, Landon created and starred in Little House on the Prairie, a family drama based on the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The show was a huge success, and it ran for nine seasons. Landon also served as executive producer, writer, and director on Little House on the Prairie. In 1984, Landon starred in Highway to Heaven, a drama about two angels who help people in need. The show ran for five seasons, and it won Landon another Golden Globe Award.
